Tulip Festivals and Flower Parades in the Netherlands

Seasonal

Beyond the fields themselves, tulip season brings a handful of events worth timing a visit around.

The Bloemencorso, a flower parade held each April between Noordwijk and Haarlem, sends elaborately decorated floats covered in fresh flowers through the Bollenstreek - a genuinely festive way to see the region's flower-growing heritage in motion rather than standing still in a field.

Keukenhof also runs themed flower shows throughout its season, changing displays as different bulbs come into bloom.

Smaller local tulip festivals pop up throughout the region too, often tied to individual towns' bulb-growing history.

Because these events cluster tightly into a few weeks each April, they're worth checking dates for well ahead of a spring trip - most don't repeat until the following year.Want to know the moment the fields turn to colour? Join our mailing list for tulip season updates and more.
